Application Steps
Submit Your Application
Complete the WIE application form. You can apply online or by email. Include your current English level (if known), passport details, and intended start date.
Placement Test & Interview
Complete an online English placement test and a short speaking interview to determine your starting level. No prior qualification is required. The assessment is not pass/fail — it helps us place you at the most appropriate level for your goals.
Receive Your Offer & Pay Deposit
Once accepted, you will receive a formal Letter of Offer. Pay the enrolment deposit to secure your place. You will then receive your student agreement and course timetable.
Visa & Arrival (International Students)
International students: WIE provides a Letter of Offer to support your student visa application. Arrive in Hamilton and begin your NZCEL programme!
Visa processing time: Apply 8–12 weeks before your intended start date. Processing times vary — check with Immigration New Zealand for current estimates.
